The extension of the Sydney Light Rail system


  Late 1999 ABB started the refursbishment of the abandonded goods line between Wentworth Park, and Catherine St, Lilyfield. I started taking photographs of the line in December 1999 shortly after work started. This page shows the earliest photo I have of each location, and one from July, when the line was open for traffic, but not for passengers.

Wentworth Park Station
Wattle St, Ultimo. Entrances on Wattle St, and Pyrmont Bridge Rd

Glebe Station
Bridge Rd, Glebe. Entrances on Bridge Rd, Lower Avon St & Bayview St

Jubilee Park Station
Cnr Victoria Rd, Maxwell St, Glebe. Entrances Maxwell St & Jubilee Park

Crossing the Cresent
The Cresent and lower Johnston St, Annandale. Former tram lines ran under the goods line at this location.

Rozelle Bay Station
Intersection of Pritchard St & Bayview St, Annandale. Entrance on Bayview St only.

Brennan St crossover
Between Brennan St & City West Link Rd, Lilyfield.

Lilyfield Station
Catherine St Lilyfield. Entrance off Catherine St bridge, access via stairs or lift.
  The line is set to open on the 13th of August 2000
