June saw 2105 lose its red Hienz tomato sauce skin and replaced with a yellow based 'Thomas the Tank Engine' theme for
the July School holidays. The make over included a smoke generator and a sound effects box over the cabs - the drive can operate
a control that causes smoke to be generated and the tram makes 'toot toot' and chugging noises.
2105 will be running to a timetable during the school holidays to allow children to easly catch up with it.
This month was the first time in a while since I had visited the Wentworth Park station - it has aquired recently
a set of pedestrian crossing lights. Crossing Wattle St from the station entrance was a dangerous thing to try. Evidently
some one in the RTA eventually realised this and provided traffice lights at the station entry. Further up Wattle St on the
'south' side of the Greyhound racing track, a pedestrian foot bridge is being built. This will make another crossing of
this busy road, athough it will have no effect on the Light Rail stop - it is probably to allow access between the racing
track and a car-park on the eastern side of Wattle St.
