Hardware Requirements
---------------------
PC or laptop with 1 GHz 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor or better.

ARM board with ARMv7-compatible 32-bit processor (500 MHz or better).
VFP3 support and Thumb extension are required. 
Tested boards: ODROID-XU (best performance), BeagleBone Black

ARMv8-compatible 64-bit embedded system, e.g Jetson TX1 with Linux for Tegra X1 R24.2.1.

Additionally, a built-in USB 3.0 controller for PCI Express bus is required.

  Remark:
  Testing has been performed on host controllers that are based on Intel chip
  sets and Renesas chip sets. The driver may run on host controllers that
  are based on chip sets from other vendors, too. Nevertheless for best
  performance we highly recommend Intel chip sets.
  However, if there are any problems please feel free to contact our Technical
  Software Support (see below).

Supported Operating Systems

The Vimba USB Transport Layer is designed for the 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 
operating systems:

   Windows 7
   Windows 8 and 8.1
   Windows 10
   
   Please note that Windows RT is not supported with this version of 
   Vimba USB TL.

   Ubuntu (Tested with version 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr")
   Debian (Tested with version 6 "Squeeze")
   Debian (Tested with version 7 "Wheezy")
   Fedora (Tested with version 20 "Heisenbug")

   
Vimba has been tested with the following 32-bit ARM
operating systems:

   Ubuntu hard-float (Tested with version 14.04 LTS "Trusty Tahr")


Tested SOM (system-on-module) with ARMv8 and 64-bit hard-float operating system:

    Vimba was tested on Jetson TX1 with Linux for Tegra X1 R24.2.1. 

Note that R24.2.1 contains Ubuntu 16.04 and several bug fixes. 
Please do not use its predecessor Tegra X1 R24.2.
 
In most cases, Vimba is also compatible to higher versions.

The Vimba USB Transport Layer is part of the Vimba SDK. For instructions on how
to install this module, please refer to the Vimba User Manual.

Known issues

MSI Uninstallation by new Windows 10 dialog "Apps&Features" is not supported by now.
Please use the old "Programs and Features" dialog.
